The history of the Pavol Jozef Safarik University (UPJS)
goes back to the year 1660.

It has existed in its current form since 1959. Currently more than 7,500 students are studying there in five faculties, who are supervised by 1,250 employees and lecturers.

At over71 years old, the medical faculty is the oldest faculty at the university and has been offering English-language studies for over 20 years and has had its new branch in Prague since autumn 2021.

The university is very popular with international students. The university also offers you the opportunity to take the first US exams (USMLE) in addition to the European exam. Partner universities such as the University of Bonn or the Philipps University of Marburg and the “Erasmus+” program underline the international orientation of the university.

Tuition fees: Medicine: €9.500 (~1,016,500 INR*) per semester (6 years total); Dentistry: €9.500 (~ 1,016,500 INR*) per semester (5 years total)

Admission Requirement: Based on school grades in natural sciences. English proficiency demonstrated through satisfactory marks in English or a standardized test (e.g., TOEFL, IELTS); Results of the MediTest (completed online from India)

Admission Process: Admission based on MediTest-EU exam and motivation interview (not based on GPA or NEET score)
